PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST FOR THEATRE NIGHT 2014

About the competition

The Arts and Theatre Institute is organising a Photography Contest for Theatre Night 2014. Anyone who attends any of the activities on Theatre Night 2014 can enter. There are six contest categories.

In 2015 an exhibition of the best 20 to 30 photographs will be organised that will travel to various Czech theatres and cultural institutions and will also be shown at the third annual Theatre Night at the Arts and Theatre Institute.

Conditions

Each contest applicant can submit a maximum of three photographs. Photographs can be submitted to just one category or to multiple different categories. Those who attend Theatre Night and want to enter the contest should submit their photographs between 15 and 21 November 2014. A jury made up of experts from the Arts and Theatre Institute and experts in theatre photography in general will select the winners by 15 December 2014.  

A condition for admission to the contest is that the photographs are in the best possible resolution and are submitted with the following information: the name of the author of the photograph; the author’s contact information (telephone and email); and the town and theatre where the photographs were taken and the contest category they are submitted to.

Prizes for the winners

The winners will be awarded a package of publications of the Arts and Theatre Institute and admission tickets to Prague Quadrennial 2015.

Theatre Night 2014 is offering visitors a wealth of rich experiences in its various costume and stage designs and visuals displays. Record what captures your attention in the areas of costume, stage design, masks, and make-up during Theatre Night.
